Who are you?

I'm a professional Sex Educator and facilitator. I'm a White Queer Femme living and working on Anishinaabe and Ininew land, the Homeland of the Metis Nation and Treaty 1 Territory.

Where have you worked, and who do you work with?

I have spent the past 15 years working with youth all over Manitoba. I really value working with youth whoever and wherever they are: Urban Indigenous Youth, youth living in First Nations and Metis communities, Newcomer youth, BIPOC youth, 2STLGBQIA+ youth, youth in rural communities, everyone and everywhere in between.

I am all about making learning spaces that work for all of us. To me, this  means leading with my heart, being humble, and focusing on building relationship with everyone I working with.   

Now, thanks to technology, I can work ANYWHERE!

So, what do you?

I specialize in teaching sex ed. For me, it's all about making sure you get the quality sex education that is your right!   

I can answer all of your  questions about anything related to sex and sexuality with excellent information and ZERO judgement.

Don't I already get sex ed in school?

I hope you do! However, even the BEST sex education could use a  boost- and that's where I come in.

According to a study done by Action Canada for Sexual Health, there is a lot missing from in school sex education, and the quality isn't the same everywhere.

My job is to make sure that your sex education includes the things you most want to know.     

How did you get into this?

Sex education is my life's passion, and what I know the most about in this world. Most of what I know comes from my experience working for a youth health education service. I spent 12 years doing thousands of workshops and dozens multi- day/week peer support and education trainings for people all over Manitoba.

Ask Me Anything!  is a live, one of a kind workshop that we create together!

 

What if I don't have a question?

Even if you are in the workshop and don't have a specific thought or question I have a "menu" of topics that you can look at. Then you can help me decide what you would find most valuable to talk about.

 

Will anyone know which questions are mine?

No! If we are doing a digital workshop, the Q&A boxes are anonymous. If we are in a room together, you can choose to ask out loud, writing on a paper, or sending a message on a device. You never have to use your name.

 

What if I have questions after we're done?

I will give you resources that you can use to get more information or whatever you might need after our workshop.

 

You will also have a chance to give me feedback about how the workshop went for you, and you can ask a question then too.
